Rajouri 07 January 2018 (KNO) : On second day of his visit to Pir Panchal region AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed interacted with more than a dozen deputations hailing from different walks of life. Er. Rasheed also addressed a gathering at main Eidgah Rajouri which was organized by Islamic organizations. Speaking on the occasion Er. Rasheed reiterated that no supreme Court or parliament has any jurisdiction to dictate terms to Muslims or followers of any other religion over various issues. Er. Rasheed said “The Muslims all over India and in Jammu & Kashmir reject the notorious and senseless debates on TV Channels which are aimed at proving Muslims radical. Parliament has no right to interfere into religious affairs and for every Muslim Sharia is Supreme. We believe in religious tolerance and communal harmony and respect all religions. Congress has followed footprints of BJP by not opposing the bill in LOK Sabha and has proved yet again that congress is no way different than any other communal party”. Er. Rasheed while addressing the gathering reiterated that it is Ulmah (Religious Clerks) who can interpret Islamic laws and guide Muslims and not any parliament or Supreme Court. He appealed for a self introspection within Muslims themselves, so that no one gets a chance to defame the religion or interfere in religious affairs. While interacting with deputations comprising lawyers, students, businessmen and other respecvtable citizens Er. Rasheed accused Govt. of ignoring people of Pir Panchal region nd said that Political parties have treated this area nothing more than a vote bank. Er. Rasheed demanded compensation for victims of border shelling, immediate start on tunnel on Mughal road and special developmental packages for the region. He reiterated that no one is seeking a resolution to political dispute of Kashmir on communal lines and appealed people of Hindu community to understand the urgency of resolution of Kashmir dispute.(KNO)
